It can be hard to describe all of the things I do. I definitely work best as a strategic planner or educator. I like to design projects and communications strategies. I like to leverage new technology, and bring everything together for a collaboratively-developed vision.

I like to train groups and facilitate collaborative planning processes. I like to incorporate Internet strategies in communications campaigns, because I've grown up as a geek, and I love new communications tools and open-source software.

I might be pretty good on a computer, but my passion lies in planning and project development. I really like for what I do to have a positive effect for the greater good, and sometimes to accomplish that I'll do some public speaking or help with event planning.

Training and facilitating

I love to teach and organize, and on the right subjects, I'm pretty good at it. I specialize in bringing technical subjects and abstract planning sessions back down to Earth.

I can moderate discussions, design and lead technical workshops, and facilitate planning sessions. I could spend all day in front of a whiteboard, but I use a lot of other techniques, too.

Communications technology and open-source software

As a geek, I love learning about new geeky things, and communications technology falls into that category. I can work remotely or face-to-face, and I can show you or your organization how to leverage telecommunications software efficiently and increase your productivity. You could be video conferencing for a lot cheaper and faster than you might think.

The software I use is 100% free, and all future upgrades are free, too. It's called open-source software, and I can show you how easy it is to use. No viruses, either. If you've been thinking of kicking Microsoft off of your computer, I want to show you how.

Project development

Crafting strategies and plans takes me to that special place... I just love to brainstorm, organize, and synthesize ideas into projects, logistics, and campaigns. I can help you or your group write language, craft strategies and tactics, discover resources, and decide on goals.

Campaign and communications strategy

Are you trying to bring people together, earn media attention, or get noticed by a particular group? I can help you plan a communications strategy that leverages the Internet and other modern mediums. My campaigns are especially effective at reaching youth, but they remain well-balanced, too.

Sometimes I can be most effective by speaking to an audience, or helping plan an event. I have a wide breadth of expertise within the climate change, organizing, and Internet fields, and I can speak to quiet luncheons or rowdy crowds.
