Using Tweetdeck, Facebook, and Drupal for liveblogging

I recently started using Tweetdeck to keep track of all my Twitter feeds. I'm excited about Twitter, but I wanted to find a way to make sure people who weren't familiar with the service would still view my updates. Enter Drupal and its community-developed modules.
Using Drupal and two modules, Views and FeedAPI, I was able to create a microblog page that combined my Twitter and Facebook status updates into one stream. Making this stream available on my webpage, instead of forcing users to go to Twitter or Facebook, lets me maintain more control over my digital brand, while pulling in users who would never see that content.
Now, with a microblog, the intent is to publish tiny bits of information often. I got tired of using the interface on Twitter's website, because it wasn't as easy to reply, retweet, or add web addresses to my tweets. I found out about Tweetdeck a few months ago, but at the time it wasn't working on Linux (I run Ubuntu), but now it does.
You can look at my microblog to see what I'm using this setup for.
