Tyson Offers You a 10-to-1 Match for Shoring Up Local Food Bank

An image showing the global issues surrounding food.
Tyson will match your donation 10-to-1 to Northwest Arkansas Food Bank. What excuse do you have left?
The City has been the center of a drive to fill up the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, and now Tyson is helping out by offering a 10-to-1 match for any food donated on October 16, which just happens to be World Food Day.

Here are the details, from an email I received from the City:

Friday, October 16th is World Food Day!

As many of you are aware, Mayor Jordan has been asking for food donations for the We Can! campaign since June. To date this campaign has distributed more than 3,200 lbs. to local food banks. But the need continues - If you haven’t donated yet - this is your chance to make a real impact.

This is a challenge to all Fayetteville neighborhoods - will you step up and make a difference?

Food donations on World Food Day (October 16th) will go to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, which serves area kitchens, shelters, and community action programs. Tyson Foods will match your contribution 10 to 1!

Bring your donations to City Hall - Room 111 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

I haven't donated to the food drive yet (shame on me), but I'm going to on Friday. Are you?
